Beyond excited! In fact so excited I want to shout from the rooftops. God bless the genius that decided to send one of those leggy fashion dolls down the hottest runways in distressed bottoms, bedhead and converse. Yes a new day has dawned. I am not sure what label you want to attach to the look but whatever it is we love it! It's  such a great way to express your fashion personality, mixing all that is plain with comfort. I think the best feature is it allows everyone to be less stressed about looking perfect. In fact perfect just doesn't work at all. I for one am tired of perfection. Let's let our hair down and put our own spin on things and let's be comfy doing it. How about  throwing a little bit of this and that to create some cool chic.? All About That Blanket Scarf

It's unanimous , one of the best things about the arrival of cold weather is putting on super cozy scarves.  Just thinking about them gives me goosebumps.  This season we are all obsessed with the plaid blanket scarf and who wouldn't be. Finally a scarf that works with all the trends. Rocking everything from the new found "ramp up the sweats" look to the classic chic of jacket, dress, or jean. They are so soft and the colours, well scrumptious is the word that comes to mind.  As the season goes on we will snuggle down deeper into them, but

 in this fall moment....

They cuddle you to perfection.  Last night we were all out grabbing a bite at our favourite spot here in Port Hope (Blackbeans Steak House and Lounge.....super delish) and my blanket scarf saved me.  When we arrived it was warm enough to have just a chunky cardigan on, and the scarf swaddled around my neck, but as the night went on it became chilly.

So I undid the scarf, opened it up, and wound it completely around me (hence the term blanket),

 so perfect. It was all toasty and warm, amazing. I can't imagine a blustery season without them. No matter what, I would say you need to have at least one.  Swirl them around your neck, point them down your body, tie them around your shoulders, drape them, belt them, really so many options. Check out our selection either in store or online. With holiday season just around the corner can you think of a better gift. Its like giving a hug. Swoon.

Not 1, Not 2, but at least 3!

Don't you just get so excited when you find the perfect piece for fall?  I mean seriously who doesn't? This season there was so much to choose from and it was really really hard to narrow it down. However, after many tries and different configurations we have unanimously decided that Dex is the winner. They have a chunky knit high low pullover that can work so many ways its crazy. First of all we were looking for something to transition our shorts into fall. Ta- da this was it.The high low bottom leaves just the right amount of short peeking out and we fell in love with the beautiful pattern on the back of the sweater. You have to look as good going as you do coming. Next we noticed how slouchy and cozy it could look with tights or destroyed jeans. Oh, and PS you cant forget the boots or strappy shoes this season. Finally, because of the richness in  ivory and black you can really spin a  classic sophisticated vibe. Cant beat the bang for the buck here. Check it out on line or in our store. Love you Dex xxoo

Sunny Love

This morning we were moving things around the shop and we started asking each other random questions. You know the ones.."what's the beginning of the best belly laugh or what's your favourite cupcake?" Today though, our newest question was "best accessory of all time?" At once and in unison we all said "has to be sunnies" If you think about, it it's true. Not only do they make or break skin tones, face shapes, hairstyles and lip colour but just how many times have your sunglasses saved your moments? The moments when..."you want to appear mysterious and all Hollywood,  avoid the cheque, make the perfect statement, need an emergency hair band or hide the tears." There really are countless moments and in the end we decided you can't just have one pair. There needs to be a full on wardrobe, one pair for every mood, much like your outfits. Then we began to search on line. Needless to say we found the most amazing glasses, Quay from Australia. Here's are some of our faves.
